What else makes the Schmitten so popular? The stunning panoramic views of Lake Zell, the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and more than 30 three-thousand-metre mountains.

Skiing on the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See promises pure fun and variety for both families and avid winter sports enthusiasts eager to cover tons of vertical metres. Whether it’s tackling the steep Trass descent or learning to ski on Glocknerwiese with the help of Schmidolin, the Schmitten dragon: Nearly every ski run at the resort boasts breathtaking views of the unique mountain scenery and Lake Zell. During lunch and breaks, skiers and snowboarders can unwind at the numerous huts and restaurants scattered across the Schmitten.
